ASLA 2009년 전문가 부문 수상자 발표
2009년 5월 5일 워싱턴 DC - 미국조경가협회(ASLA)는 2009 Professional Awards를 발표하였다. 세계각국에서 약 600여 작품이 심사에 출품되어-이는 ASLA 역사상 가장 많은 숫자이다- 49개 프로젝트가 general design, residential design, analysis and planning, communications and research 부문에 걸쳐 선정되었다. 시상식은 오는 9월 21일 시카고에서 열릴 ASLA 연차 정기총회(Annual Meeting)에서 거행될 예정이다.
국내작품 중에는 CheongGye Canal project가 General Design부문에서 Honor Awards를 수상하는 영예를 안았다.
서안조경은 2004년 ASLA Merit Awards에 이어 올해 2번째로 ASLA에서 Honor Awards에 선정되었다. 이번에 수상된 청계천복원의 디자인범위는 청계천 시점부 벽천부터 모전교 사이의 구간이다. 이 구역의 디자인 요소는 시점부 벽천, 청계 탐방램프, 계단, 저수호안(선큰스톤), 핸드레일, 벽체 준천석, 교량, 경관조명, 분수, 수리설계 등이며 Honor Awards에 선정된 “CheongGye Canal project”의 디자인 크레딧은 아래와 같다.
